Optical devices represent one of the biggest technical markets in the world. It´s not enough to engineer and build up optical circuits, but to give them a proper intelligence. That´s our job: We create software, drivers and firmware for optical devices in scanners, video cameras and in the field of augmented reality.

Our special subject is to write code for the apple iPhone, eg creating new apps for the camera to use it for augmented reality applications. The apple iPhone seems to be the first device powerful enough to calculate video data in realtime to augment the real world with some digital data.

Feel free to download the prototype of our software OptiServe in the apple appstore, until its activated in the Appstore in October 2010.

The iPhone is not just a mobile phone, but a fast computer, which is perfectly for use for a roboter-steering logic. It´s USB port is fast and the gravitation sensors, the builtin GPS, and last but not least the hires camera is perfect for that purpose.

The special topic of our firmware department enables network cameras to fulfill automated security tasks, e.g. face recognition and detection of car signs. The recent models of other companys need an additional computer to do that, our network cameras have this Intelligence onboard.

The new iPhone OS 3.1 is the first one supporting all necessary libraries and ressources for realizing augmented reality applications. Now our augmented reality department spends all its energy to adapt our existing solutions to the new possibilities of the new iPhone OS 3.1. The new libraries supports gentle access to the built in camera and the USB connector. Feel free to download our sample source code or the compiled prrof of concepts.
